This is an outstanding release from MOTIV. It has the awesome sigma core with a super hybrid cover wrapped around it. If you liked the Sigma Tour, this ball will be a great compliment to it. It's smoother off the friction and overall a little stronger than the Tour.
Here's my video for the Sigma Hybrid. I hope you find it useful!

Lane Condition:
40ft THS on AMF HPL
Medium-Heavy Volume
Layout:
4 ½” x 4 7/8”
90* x 4 ½” x 70*
Using the award winning Sigma core, Motiv has strengthened their already powerful line-up with the new Sigma Hybrid. The combination of the Sigma core (2.47 RG, .047 Diff), with its strong midlane read and backend motion, with the new Atomix Hybrid coverstock has created a ball that has no issues giving you the controllable, aggressive ball motion you want in heavier volumes of oil. Where my Sigma Tour excels in medium oil conditions, so too does this ball does in heavier conditions, giving me a solid 1-2 punch of Sigma satisfaction. While more aggressive overall than the Tour, my Hybrid still has little problem getting through the heads before giving me a very strong midlane read and smooth but powerful backend. I have been able to play a variety of lines with it so far from ‘straight up’ on the fresh to being around 5th arrow at the end of a league set. It has continuously excelled on a variety of patterns. On the fresh the Hybrid gives a very pronounced midlane read which is great for being able to control the breakpoint when there is a lot of oil or when the backends are flying. When the lanes are broken down the ball is still clean enough to get down to my breakpoint and retain enough energy to make a strong, continuous motion through the pins (stuffing a 9-pin from 5th arrow is not all its hyped up to be as this ball can do it easily). Combined with the Sigma Tour, the Sigma Hybrid creates a dynamic duo that is tough to beat on any lanes.

SIGMA HYBRID---Release Date 4/13/12
The Sigma Hybrid is THAT piece I as a Regional Tour player have been longing for. It’s the piece of my Arsenal that I can go to for the added OIL flip and corner turning I desire. Its strong through the front like the Raptor but provides that added angle and strong turn that my Raptor doesn’t for me. Its out of box 1000 grit finish allows me to move a bit deeper into the oil pattern and provides the recovery room right into the friction. This ball is the real deal for many conditions from your typical house shot to the toughest tour conditions. The proven SIGMA core provides one more tool for the serious bowler and expands on that already incredible technology with a piece for the Cranker in all of us! Don’t miss this one –If you like your Sigma Tour you will love this one!!!!!

Sigma Hybrid – 25 x 5 ¼ x 50
With the amount of success the Sigma Tour has had there was bound to be another Sigma released. The Sigma Tour and New Sigma Hybrid share the same versatile Sigma core, but the Sigma Hybrid reveals the New Atomix Hybrid coverstock.
The Sigma Hybrid has a 1000 wet sanded finish and out of the box this ball is best suited for heavy to medium conditions. It is as angular as a ball can probably get with as much surface as it has out of the box. Comparing the Sigma Tour and Sigma Hybrid with their different out of box finishes, the Hybrid forced me about 4 boards deeper on the lane and still provided great entry angles. The Sigma Hybrid also ignored the carrydown, while the Sigma Tour got noticeably weaker on the same condition.
My video session with the Sigma Hybrid was on Kegel’s Easy Street with a synthetic surface. Playing that deep, with that much surface I naturally see a lot of corner pins (Because I am more up the back of the ball), this was not the case with the Sigma Hybrid. For as much continuation as the Sigma Tour provides I can’t believe that the Hybrid allows for even more continuation!
You can see my video here:

This again will be a benchmark ball for many people. It is strong enough to throw on the fresh, and when polished it is clean enough for lighter or broken down conditions.
If you missed out on drilling a Sigma Tour or if you are looking for a ball that is similar in shape as the Sigma Tour but maybe need more overall hook order yourself a Sigma Hybrid. Available starting April 13th!
