Summit Ascent
The Storm Summit Ascent features the highly successful R2S solid reactive coverstock and combines it with the Centripetal HD AI core. At 15 pounds the RG is a low 2.46 with a differential of .056. The Summit Ascent gets into an early roll with its low RG but the R2S solid coverstock is still clean through the front part of the lane. This ball won’t wow you with how much It hooks, or how sharp the backend reaction is, but this ball will keep you in the pocket the majority of the night. This is my new benchmark ball. It just provides that predictable ball motion that makes it easier to navigate through the transition and the AI core provides the extra pin carry for when you have those off pocket hits. It is much cleaner and more angular than the original Summit. This ball is a must for league and tournament bowlers alike.

Summit Acent
Ball Specs: Summit Acent Core: Centripetal HD – A.I. (Symmetrical) Coverstock: R2S Solid Reactive Scent: Cream Soda Factory Finish: 4000 Grit Abralon Review: The Storm Summit Ascent is an exceptional choice for bowlers looking for a strong, reliable, and versatile ball that can thrive on medium to heavy oil. It’s a great option for players who want a ball that reads the midlane early but doesn't lose energy on the backend. With its ability to blend wet/dry patterns and provide consistent, powerful pin carry, the Summit Ascent is a valuable addition to any arsenal. Whether you're looking for a benchmark ball or something to handle fresh heavy oil, the Summit Ascent delivers on all fronts. Storm Summit Ascent
The new ball in the Storm Master Line is the Summit Ascent. This is the 3rd ball of Summit series. The Summit Ascent uses the Centripetal HD packed inside the A.I. core. The Summit is wrapped in R2S solid coverstock. The original Summit had a little early rolling motion, the Summit Peak with the pearl cover was a strong rolling pearl. The Ascent with the R2S is perfect combo of cover and core. I drilled mine pin up 4 x 4 x 2 and added Storm Step 2. The Ascent is so predictable. It's not the hockey stick reaction, very controllable arcy motion. Think a stronger IQ solid motion. I like it a lot on a wet dry house pattern as it is just strong enough in the oil, but doesn't bounce of the dry. 2 handers like it also as with their higher rev rate it just doesn't over react downlane. Great addition to the Storm Line. Brian Watson Pro Shop Staff PAP - 3 7/8 up 1 1/4 RPM - 40 MPH -16-17 Tilt -17 Emerson Lanes Brunswick Pro Anvil Lanes 43 Ft House shot 44 Ft Sport Shot

Summit Ascent Bowling Ball Review
I drilled up my SUMMIT ASCENT with the trusty 60 x 4.5 x 35 layout. I only got to throw it at box surface as I ended up giving it to a teammate when I dropped to 14 lbs. I noticed that it had a very rolly type of reaction and was very similar to an oldie but goodie that I first drilled when I came on SPI staff in the SPECIAL AGENT. The SPECIAL was my go-to ball as a benchmark and reliable ball to keep it in play if there was oil and the lanes were touchy. The ASCENT showed a lot of those same characteristics, and I will put holes in another one in 14 lb once I get all of the gear I had drilled back up in 14 lbs. Drill this one up if you want control on more medium to slightly slicker lane conditions or a good all-around first ball out of the bag.

Storm Summit Ascent
Core: Centripetal HD A.I. Coverstock: R2S Solid Finish: 4000 grit Abralon RG: 2.46 Differential: .056 The Summit Ascent from Storm is the newest addition to the Master line. I have personally loved all the balls in the Summit line and this one might be the best of the bunch. For me, this is the first ball out of my bag, as it provides me with length through fronts, does not overreact off the friction, but still provides plenty of backend to carry the corners. This ball fits perfectly between the Phaze 2 and the IQ tour for me and will be in bag for both league and tournaments due to its versatility.

Summit ascent give’s you forgiveness
Summit Ascent • Storm • Master Line • Centripetal HD A.I. Core • Coverstock •R2S Solid • Finish 4000 grit Abralon • Weight 14 lbs. • RG 2.46 • Differential .056 • Layout 90 x 2 x 45 • One Handed • left Handed • PAP 5 15/16 Left and 1 3/16 up • Rev Rate 425 rpm • Average ball speed 14.5 mph The Summit Ascent has an amazing combination of core and cover with the proven Centripetal HD A.I. core, and R2S solid cover. This core and coverstock combination has produced the most forgiving Summit to date with the Summit Ascent! Let’s talk about what I have seen form the Summit Ascent. I get a smooth predictable motion throughout the lane. Where this motion stands out the most is in the mid-lane, and how consistent the shape stays, but don't let that motion fool you. The Centripetal HD A.I. is also reading the lane early to give you this smooth mid-lane motion. while the R2S cover is giving you the forgiveness to stay on line with your target, because it is a clean cover. What I saw down-lane is how well the Summit Ascent retained its power where it is needed most at the pins. The Centripetal HD A.I. core and the R2S cover helps with strikes having a crisp impact at the pocket. This also helps to carry those lighter pocket hits too. In conclusion I Was quite impressed with the Summit Ascent. Storm has done an excellent job of combining the Centripetal HD-A.I. Core and the R2S Solid coverstock. I feel this is a winning core and cover combination makes the Summit Ascent a superb choice for any type of bowler and, this could be a good bench mark ball for most league bowlers. This ball is NICE
I was very late getting this ball, but I am so glad that I did. I was in need of something just like this, and I have found it. The solid cover allows me to use it on many different lane conditions. The layout I have on this is 50x5x30 which is similar to a lot of my balls right now. This ball is so controllable and predictable which I love. I have it in my bag everywhere I go. I did put 1000 surface on it and it has been a gamechanger. I am loving the new storm releases and this is one of my top favorites.

Storm Summit Ascent is all about control!
Bowlers Info: RH tweener, PAP 4-5/8 x 3/4 up, 380 RPM, 13* of Axis tilt, 60* of Axis Rotation Ball Layout: 55 x 4 x 40 VLS: 4 x 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 Finish: OOB with touch of compound The new Storm Summit Ascent was designed to provide bowlers consistent and predictable control on those fresh patterns and trickier patterns. Complete with the R2S Solid finished at 4000 grit, this ball gets into an early roll with the 2.46 RG reading the midlane and provide bowlers a controlled, strong arc motion when lanes are not ready to open up. I went with a 4” pin to get into an early, strong flaring roll to play the outside part of the lane without the ball getting too offline but have enough to get up the hill to the pocket. Definitely smaller piece as compared to other solids in the line which is a great alternative in the arsenal. Looking for a controlled piece, give the Summitt Ascent a try! Summit Ascent Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
Ball Specs: Storm Summit Ascent Coverstock: 4000 Grit R2S™ Solid Reactive Weight Block: Centripetal™ A.I. Core (Symmetrical) Color: Aqua/Smoke/Shadow Review: The long awaited solid version in the summit lineup! We loved how strong the original summit (hybrid coverstock) was and how angular the summit peak (pearl coverstock) was so the solid version has a lot to live up to. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). Sporting the R2S cover we expected this ball to give off very clean/smooth Phaze 2/Axiom vibes. We were actually a bit surprised at how clean it was. On a fresh house shot we found this ball to be easy to get to the pocket but difficult carrying. After a few 10 pins in a row if was clear with the cover being so clean and having a 4K finish this is probably not the ball to start on the fresh with. In league/tournament settings we threw this ball towards the end of the block and it looked much better. It is clear this ball with factory finish is more of a transitional piece if that is what you’re looking for. If you want this piece to look good on the fresh you may consider putting a slightly heavier grit with or without polish to try and create some more angle to the pocket if you find it being too smooth and too clean. Overall this ball will fit great as a 2nd or 3rd option ones the lanes get a little chopped up. Summit Ascent
This is THE Goldilocks ball for me. My home center has an older high friction lane surface. This ball bridges the gap between too much hook in the Phase II and not enough hook in the original !Q. It’s the ball I choose when I don’t necessarily need control from balls like my Tour Dynamix, ION Pro or !Q Ruby. I drilled mine with a strong pin down layout to stay on line longer and still gets it confidently around the corner. This one is exactly what I’d hoped it would be.
