Because 900 global knocked this release out of the park with the new Zen 25. The Zen 25 is built from the success of the powerful Meditate Core. Then 900 Global stepped it up be wrapping the Meditate Core with the explosive dynamics of A.I. Technology, and when you add in the all-new RB 83 Pearl Reactive Coverstock, finished with Storm's all-new Power Edge polish, you get a heat seeking missile at the pins to add to your arsenal. I found the Zen 25 to be a great combination of smoothness in the front part of the lane and crisp traction when it sees friction. when you add the power of the A.I. Core technology around the Meditate Core, you create a monster of explosive power and precision at the pocket, which gives you a perfect blend when your in the mid blocks of league or a tournament. Zen 25

Posted by Jay Hendershot on Feb 1st 2025

Shooting a 278 out of the box on a higher friction lane surface with a 41’ medium volume house shot sure didn’t suck. I knew what to expect but this soared above my expectations. Expect a ball that reads the mid lane exceedingly well and shapes through the pin deck. In transition, when moving to deeper inside angles it did struggle with over under but when the backends were still clean the ball reaction was truly spot on.

    Zen 25!

900 Global Zen 25 Coverstock: RB 83 Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Meditate Symmetric w/A.I. (14pd) RG: 2.49 Differential: 0.053 Layout: 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 4 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Zen 25 features a pearl coverstock combined with the famous Meditate Symmetric core and adding in A.I. The Power Edge finish provides a great blend for a skid/flip reaction in the 800 series line. For me, I left the OOB surface on this ball and have not changed it at all. Currently, for THS conditions I'm rolling on two older HPL surfaces that have a lot of friction. I noted above I did not have a need to adjust the surface of this ball. For me, my high rev rate and slower ball speed generally preferes some surface on most pearls. As a general rule, I personally prefer more control of bigger pearls in the arsenal. Instead I slightly adjusted my layout to not be as quick downlane and that has been the right call. I was able to test the Zen 25 on a 43 foot typical house pattern. The Zen 25 for me was an easy read as I sent it down the lane. Along with several other testers most have been impressed with the Zen series of bowling balls. Compared to two original Zens (1500 polished and Reacta Gloss) the Zen 25 goes a touch less through the front part of the lane. In addition the Zen 25 has great angle similar to the original Zens. I'm excited to see how long I can stay in the Zen 25 as lanes transition. More to come on this ball. Be sure to try out the 900 Global Zen 25 and fill that gap for league and medium volume patterns. I'm definitely excited to use this ball in league competion. Zen 25

Posted by Brent Ritchie on Jan 30th 2025

Drilling pattern: 4 3/8 x 2 1/2 PAP: 4.5 over x 1 up Pin position: Above bridge I have been waiting a very long time to put a new Zen in my bag. The original Zen is one of my top 3 favorite balls of all time and the Zen Soul is probably in the top 5. There is something about the Meditate core that really matches up well with my game. I drilled this ball very similar to my original Zen but the end product is distinctly different. My original Zen liked to read the middle of the lane harder and be a little tamer/rounder off the end of the pattern. The Zen 25 goes a bit longer before making a much sharper move off the breakpoint. I tested this ball on a fresh THS and when thrown well, the ball hits like a truck. The carry was incredible. However, on shots that were a little left of target, the ball did what it was supposed to and made a very sharp turn and I left two separate 4-9 splits because the ball was so sharp downlane. Maybe once a little oil gets in the cover it will tame it down a bit, but this will definitely be a good ball for moving left and opening up your angles. It is certainly fun to see this type of motion when needed, and the carry was very encouraging. This ball is significantly stronger than my other shiny symmetrical piece, the Xponent Pearl, and I believe both will be useful at different times. Brent Ritchie SPI Pro Shop Staff Member

    900 Global Zen 25

900 Global Zen 25 Ball Review Layout-VLS 5x4x2 Surface-Power Edge Polish 900 Global has brought back the Zen to the lineup with the orginal core but added AI Technology wrapped with a new pearl coverstock. Zen 25 compared to the orginal Zen will be cleaner with a more continous motion on the backend so it will be a great option on medium lane conditions. I also compared the orgin to Zen 25 the origin will read the midlane more in the body of the lane pattern then when you need more length Zen 25 will be a great option. I like starting with the origin on fresh oil and once the pattern breaks down Zen 25 will create more length with a sharper backend. The Zen 25!

Posted by Rick Klimowicz on Jan 28th 2025

Zen 25 • 900 Global • 800 Blend Series Coverstock • RB 83 Pearl Reactive • Finish Power Edge Core • Meditate Symmetric Core Weight • 15 lbs. RG • 2.48 Differential • .053 Layout • 4 ¼ x 4 ¼ x 2 ¼ Tester PAP • 5” R, 5/8” D Tester Axis Tilt • 9° Testers Rev Rate • 250 Test Pattern • 42' THS (Typical House Shot) • Modified, Kegel Stone Street Leave it to 900 Global to set a new standard of hand-craftsmanship in 2025 with the Zen 25. The Zen 25 is far more than another version of a proven core with a sharp-looking new coverstock. The Zen 25 is built from the success of the powerful Meditate Core. Then 900 Global wrapped the Meditate Core with the explosive dynamics of A.I. Technology, and when you add in the all-new RB 83 Pearl Reactive Coverstock, finished with Storm's all-new Power Edge polish, you get a hand-crafted pin-destructing missile to add to your arsenal. So, let's take a closer look at the genius behind the Zen 25. The Meditate Core is a large, beefy, symmetric core that straighter players like me love using. The Meditate core's sheer size and density allow straighter players like me to create a motion we can depend on and the power we need to strike. The Meditate Core alone is a predictable, smooth-rolling core that generates a significant amount of energy as it heads down the lane. And when you add the power of the A.I. Core technology around the Meditate Core, you create a monster of explosive power and precision we straighter, low-rev players love to have at their disposal. And lastly, when a straighter player has that steam-rolling continuation like that found in the Zen 25, you can count on the light hits to carry, those tight hits to explode, and pin-action that keeps us in play shot after shot. The RB 83 Pearl Coverstock is a fine-crafted blend of smooth and grit all-in-one Pearl Coverstock. As a straighter player on a fresh THS, I found the RB 83 to be a great combination of smoothness in the front part of the lane and crisp traction when it sees friction. Yet, I found that it also blends through skid, hook, and roll with a very stable motion nearly all night, which, as a straighter player, I could easily adjust to as the night went on. So, if you are a straighter player like me, you will love how RB 83 on the Zen 25 will simplify your adjustments and keep you in the pocket as the lanes transition. Lastly, I found that with Storm's Power Glide finish, the RB 83 is a very balanced cover that is predictable and stable and creates an explosive back-end motion! So, there is no doubt that the RB 83 is an excellent cover for any straighter player like me. In closing, 900 Global has done an outstanding job of hand-crafting another great winning ball with the Zen 25. The Zen 25 is more than another Zen with a sharp-looking coverstock. Instead, the Zen 25 brings the Zen legacy to a whole new powerful level of outstanding performance to add to any straighter player's arsenal! So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and get ready to take the second half of your bowling season to a striking new level because the Zen 25 will deliver! 900 Global Zen 25 review by Lonnie Pemberton

Core: Meditate Symmetric A.I. Cover: Reserve Blend 83 Pearl Finish: Power Edge RG: 2.48 (15) Differential: 0.053 (15) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin Over Ring 4 3/4 X 4 3/4 X 1 3/4 VLS The most popular release in the Global line was without question the Zen. So what would a Zen look like with A.I. technology? We had to know, so along comes the Zen 25. Featuring the Mediate core with Amplified Intertia technology and a new cover called RB 83 Pearl the Zen 25 is what we've been missing. A replacement for one of the greatest balls ever made. I spent some time prior to drilling mine researching what other thought about it. I really wanted to get it as close to my original zen as I could. I was a little surprised that some people felt it gave them the same look they had with the original and others felt it was a little cleaner and a little more off the spot. My original worry was that the AI addition would cause it to get forward too soon. I decided to use the exact same numbers I had used on my original Zen and I'm glad I did. I tested the Zen 25 for the first time in league. I decided to save it for the transition in game 2 and my only regret for the night ended up being that I didn't get into it right away. The ball has the trademark Zen shape for me. It's a little earlier than you would expect with an incredibly consistant mid-lane motion and the smooth continuous down-lane finish that was the trademark of the original Zen. I didn't personally see any noticeable difference it terms of length and shape down-lane compared to my original. The one big difference is the color and I think that's an improvement. This ball really has has great shelf appeal. For anyone who didn't have the pleasure of throwing the original zen, it's popularity was due in large part to it's versatility. It was a ball that matched up with many different lane conditons and styles of play. You'll get the same from the zen 25. For pro shop guys it should be the staple that you love. It's a go to for any style player and you can be confident that your customers will be happy with what they are buying. Zen 25

Posted by Steven Collins on Jan 26th 2025

Dual Angle Layout: 55 x 4 ½ x 25 Storm Vector Layout: 4 ½ x 4 ½ x 1 ¾ The Zen 25 from 900 Global features the brand new Reserve Blend 83 Pearl Reactive Cover stock wrapped around the trusted Meditate Symmetric weight block with AI Core. The Power Edge polish allows the ball to read earlier then expected but still allows continuation on the back end. For me this ball was much earlier than I expected, which makes it a great choice for a fresh house shot. I was hoping this ball would replace my Optimum Idol Pearl, but the Zen 25 is much earlier and stronger allowing me to have both in my bag.
