I go to it when I need hook in oil or control on tougher patterns. The Intense has the HK 22 Evolution Pearl which provides easy length and pop on the backend making it a nice complement to the Mindset. It does not lack in the hook department at all. I love that it has the control characteristic from the Mindset on tougher patterns while still having the clean/sharp motion you need as the pattern transitions and the bowler migrates inside. If you want a higher end hook potential ball but favor length and backend over early hook and control, give this one a look. It’s all about having the right mindset and this new Intense Mindset from Brunswick makes success so much easier. Paired with HK22-Evolution Pearl and factory compound this ball glides through the fronts and makes an intense charge of the friction. I’ve found this ball to be a good option on the fresh and continue to look even better as the lanes break down to where you continue to get left and watch it still go through the pins with ease. Brunswick has continued its series of Mindset bowling balls to now include a pearl cover version called Intense Mindset. I have thrown it on a very burned up house shot where it looked really good from 5th arrow. Then I threw it on a fresh house shot in track area and it looked good. This ball has HK-22 infused into the cover, so it is strong off the friction. In all honesty, I think I need a different layout or maybe a cover adjustment for this ball to be great. I'd like to see it pick up a bit sooner and it will be a rockstar. I think it is a nice piece that will fit most arsenals.

Intense mindset is definitely the cleanest of the mindsets so far. I can’t believe how far down the lane this ball got before it hooked. Once it picked up down lane, it was very strong. This ball will definitely come in to play once your mindset is hooking to early and burning up.
