Additional product information:

The Torpedo Direct Hit has core numbers of 2.48 RG, .055 total differential, and .017 intermediate differential. The Torpedo Direct Hit has our newly formulated Low Friction Cover (LFC). Like the concept of The Spy, we have developed a ball that can use the same dynamic core as The Torpedo but with a low friction cover so it can be used on dry lanes or as a spare ball. Players with lower ball speeds can now take advantage of an asymmetrical ball without having the ball roll forward at the end of the pattern and hit flat.

The uniqueness of the Torpedo Core comes from the drilling performance range. The starting differentials are .055 and .017, and they can be drilled to create a total diff of .068 with an intermediate diff of .034. They can also be drilled to a diff of .043 and an int diff of .016. These drilling options make the Torpedo very versatile, and along with the cover options, they can cover all lane conditions for a wide variety of bowlers' styles.

    Torpedo Direct Hit

Posted by Dan Schriner on Apr 7th 2025

Drilled my Torpedo Direct Hit 40x4.25x75 this ball and layout is great for low speed bowlers. Lower friction coverstock helps the ball glide through the front part of the lane and still packs the punch down lane that every bowler is looking for. This layout will help keep you in the dry part of the lane longer and play straighter angles. This ball is a must have in your arsenal

    Radical Torpedo Direct Hit review!

Posted by James G on Mar 31st 2025

I drilled the Radical Torpedo Direct Hit 55 x 4.5” x 35 to mimic the layout used on my Radical Torpedo. I wanted a 1:1 comparison, and these two balls are perfect compliments for varying oil patterns. The Torpedo Direct Hit has the newly formulated Low Friction Cover (LFC), making it great for lower ball speeds or rev dominant players. I can move 8-4 left (left-handed) with the Radical Torpedo Direct Hit compared to the Torpedo, tighten up my line, and play closer to the friction without worrying about the ball jumping or hooking early. The lower friction cover helps the ball glide down the lane, making it the perfect ball for late shift moves, lower volumes, or burn squads. I can stand closer to the gutter, allowing me to get enough entry angle to carry those pesky corner pins on the regular. If you are looking for a perfect ball that gives you that quality asymmetric hit, with a controllable cover, then the Radical Torpedo Direct Hit is perfect for you!
