This thing RIPs
The new Roto Grip Hustle RIP is the newest staple in the RG Line-up. The Hustle series has been proven in the past to be one of the best bang for your buck series on the market. The RIP, which has roots going back to the original Hustle INK, is looking to be one of the best lower-mid performance balls with mid-performance reaction. I drilled my RIP 4.75x4x4 2LS since that has been my go to layout in the past. I am beyond impressed with the reaction I get out of this ball as it hooked substantially more than my PBR did in the past. Compared to the Hustle PBR, the RIP is slightly cleaner and produces more angle on the back part of the lane. I was easily able to stand 5-6 boards further left with my RIP compared to my PBR and still have it go through the pins well. Hustle RIP
Layout: 35 x 4 1/8” x 40 For the masses looking for a re-release of the vaunted Hustle Ink, this is about as close as you can possibly get. The RIP is incredible easy through the heads and has a smooth, consistent hard arc in the back part of the lane...just like the Ink. Not to mention that the color somewhat reminds me of that ball, as well. I (and many others) consider the Hustle Ink to be one of the best balls that has come out of the Storm facilities in the last 10 years, so any allusions to that ball is of the highest regard. The RIP can handle medium oil, especially with the cover taken to 3000 or 4000, but it is most at home on broken down shots that resemble medium-light oil.

Roto Grip Hustle RIP review by Lonnie Pemberton
Coverstock: : VTC™ Solid Reactive Core: : Hustle™ Core Finish: Reacta Gloss Factory Finish RG: 2.55 (14lb) Differential: .030 (14 lb) Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 Axis Tilt: 14° Axis Rotation: 74° PAP: 5 1/8 R 7/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin over Ring 5 Pin to Pap 2 1/2 Pin Buffer The HP1 line got back it's GOAT. The new Hustle RIP is what all Hustle Ink fans have been waiting for. The Hustle core and VTC solid combo is unbeatable and this ball will be very popular. I first tested the Hustle RIP in league. Our house pattern is longer and higher volume than many, it is also a higher ratio (12:1). The Hustle RIP is a very clean ball, clearing the lane heads easily and providing a good continuous motion in the back-end. By numbers it's not a very strong ball, but I would say it out-performs most balls in it's price point. I was able to use the RIP on the fresh condition playing closer to the friction. The ratio made it a little touchy as it could over-react when it saw friction too soon. I was very happy with the ease that it cleared the front of the lane, as the lane beds have a lot of early friction. The Hustle RIP really shines as the lane begins to transition. It is one of the most dependable balls I've ever thrown in terms of clearing the front, reading the end of the pattern and giving predictable, continuous down-lane motion. It also responds really well to speed and hand position changes, allowing you to stay in the ball for a long time as the lanes change. The Hustle RIP will be very popular for many bowlers. It is a useful ball for high rev and speed challenged players on almost any condition. For all bowlers the Hustle RIP will be very useful on drier lane conditions and higher friction lane surfaces. Hustle RIP Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
Ball Specs: Roto Grip Hustle RIP VTC™ Solid Reactive – Reacta Gloss Weight Block: Hustle™ (Symmetrical) Color: Royal Imperial Purple Review: There is NO reason to not love this line of bowling balls. They cater to literally every bowler in the world, regardless of skill level and is priced so reasonably that its worth its weight in gold. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For the seasoned veterans you can expect an extremely versatile lower end solid, something to keep transition to late in a block if you are needing to move right (even if the conditions are drying up). For the novice bowler you can expect great value in your purchase, getting a great piece of equipment for pennies over an entry level reactive bowling ball. The color options also appeal to novice bowlers who may care more about color than performance. The trusted Hustle core is in many bowling record books for a reason, it’s just that good. Hustle RIP
Roto Grip Hustle Royal Imperial Purple (RIP) Coverstock: VTC Solid Reactive Core: Hustle Factory Finish: Reacta Gloss Layout: 4 x 4 x 2 The Hustle series is one of my favorite lines in bowling. When the Hustle INK was discontinued, it left quite a void in the bag. The RIP not only has that INK look, it also has the combination of length and control that made the INK such a timeless piece for years. Another selling point of the RIP is that it is not allergic to oil. It seems to handle itself well on our 43 ft house pattern that has quite a bit of volume in the center of the pattern. As normal, summers are for sport pattern sweepers and very little league. Although it does look great on house, my experience with the RIP so far has been on mainly on sport patterns when I am able to get left and open up the lane after the pattern stretches a bit. The Hustle line is for everyone from beginners to tournament players and it provides value well above the price. You won’t be disappointed. Hustle RIP
Hustle RIP - Ball Specs Cover Stock: VTC Solid Reactive Finish: Reacta Gloss Color: Royal Imperial Purple Core: Hustle Core Layout: 75 x 4 1/4 x 40 RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.030 Review The Roto Grip iconic hustle line has two winners The Hustle RIP and Hustle M-M. The Hustle RIP is the stronger of the two balls, which features the iconic Hustle Core wrapped in the VTC solid reactive cover. I tested this ball on a 44 feet typical house pattern. As a medium to low rev player, I see this ball being great on medium to light oil patterns. I was able to play in the track area and down and in up the five board. This ball stands up in the midlane with a strong finish on the backend. My ball is drilled with the pin over the ring finger. The Hustle RIP is similar to the Hustle Ink and is a must have for league and tournament bowlers. Now available for preorder at your local pro shop! Hustle RIP
The old reliable Hustle Line is coming out with another banger! Introducing the new Hustle RIP. The RIP has the same core featured in all the Hustle’s wrapped with the VTC Solid Reactive Coverstock. With this ball being a solid and polished, it gives the bowler an option that can be clean on lighter volumes, but have enough cover to still dig into the oil and have a predictable motion downlane. I am in love with this ball. It reminds me a lot of the old Hustle Ink but with a little more pop downlane. I can throw this ball firm and in front of me, or I can slow down and open up the lane when the lanes are dryer and the ball absolutely destroys the pins. This ball, like every hustle, will not disappoint. Make sure to get yours at your local Storm VIP Pro shop.

Roto Grip Hustle RIP review by Ethan Fiore
The Hustle RIP has the Hustle Core and VTC Solid Coverstock. As I am a big fan of the Hustle line, I had to try this one. The motion it makes is not what I’d expect out of a low end ball. Very predictable with a lot of down lane motion makes it easy to put up big scores. Since it was released, I have talked highly of this ball. This is the bang for your buck!! Hustle RIP
The Hustle RIP is the reincarnation of the Hustle INK. If you liked that medium RG, ultra stable symmetrical shape with a cleaner solid cover, then the RIP is for you. The Hustle RIP strikes the perfect balance of controlling the breakpoint and storing energy so that you don't sacrifice any carry. The RIP is perfect for medium to dry lane conditions, especially when there is a cliff to blend out. The Hustle RIP is essentially a baby IQ Tour Solid, and for the price point, you can't find better performance.

Hustle RIP Review
Ball Specs: Roto Grip Hustle RIP Cover stock Solid Reactive Weight Block Hustle™ Core (Symmetrical) Color Royal Imperial Purple Finish Reacta Gloss Layout 4.5 x 4 x 1.5 Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: It no secret that I am a Hustle fan. The Hustle line was designed to be predictable with great performance. The New Hustle RIP was made with the popular Hustle INK in mind. I really did not use the INK so I can’t do a fair comparison but I hear the RIP is an improvement on the INK. I drilled the M-M and RIP at the same time with the same layout and threw them at a few centers together and I saw a big difference between the two. The balls have the same core and same Reacta Gloss finish but the RIP is fitted with a solid cover and the M-M is pearl. Normally I would have thought the Solid RIP would hook more but it was weaker and much smoother for me while testing in three different houses. I expect this is due to the solid cover being less responsive to friction. The RIP is a beautiful purple color with gold engraving that looks outstanding. While testing I could play the drier part of the lane without worrying about over reaction. The RIP just simply walked to the pocket and went through it. I was a good bit right with my line compared to the M-M. When the lanes get fried or tore up I think this could be my go to ball. I will put this ball above my Surge and below my M-M in total hook. This ball should be a great choice for a newer bowler or a killer in the hands of a high rev or no thumb bowler. Summary: The Hustle RIP is a beautiful looking ball. This ball provides excellent control on dry lanes. This ball should work great for the two hand or high rev style.
