Storm Summit Peak ball review
I drilled my STORM SUMMIT PEAK at a 4.5 x 4 x 2. I left it mainly shined but did lightly hit it with a 3000 Tru Cut pad to get the glaze off. I have thrown it about 10 games since I hit the cover so probably due for another 3000 Tru Cut touch up. I have thrown this on league conditions. In the center I bowl on Mondays at, it just seemed like it needed the lanes to be a touch more dryer to carry better. It would glide thru the fronts easily but not get thru the pins hard enough to carry out tens for me. My RG ATTENTION STAR was more bowling ball and worked much better there. My Tuesday night league gets more blown up in the track area and this ball was golden when they got to that shot. I would use the RG ATTENTION STAR until it got to forward and then step down to the SUMMIT PEAK to take over. When the PEAK was starting to get too forward or flat, then my 900 GLOBAL XPONENT PEARL was in play. The motion was smooth like the original SUMMIT, but the pearl cover got it down the lane quite a bit further than the original.

Summit Peak Review by S.McIntire
I am higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Summit Peak 5 x 3 x 2 using Storm VLS. My axis point is 3 1/4 over and 7/8 up. The Summit Peak is a welcomed addition to my arsenal it revs up early and keeps shaping down lane. I generally use this ball game 2 - 3 of league or when there is friction right. The Summit Peak by Storm definitely does not disappoint and the Apple Kiwi Pie scent is amazing! My YouTube video of the ball can be found at: https://youtu.be/pgrr_RXCSt8?si=RRrHkqaM9O_hBCLK

Storm Summit Peak
Cover Stock: TX-23 Pearl Reactive Finish: Reacta Gloss Core: Centripetal HD RG: 2.46 Differential: 0.056 The latest addition to Storms Master line is the new Summit Peak. Combining the Centripetal HD with A.I Technology with the Flippy TX-23 Pearl Cover and you have a perfect compliment to the early rolling Summit. The Original summit picked up a roll very quick with a very smooth backend reaction which was great on fresh heavier oil conditions, but when you had to start moving a left, it would tend to lay off on the backend and the Summit Peak is perfect go to ball. The Peak picks up a roll earlier than most pearl balls so you can still throw it on those medium to medium to heavy oil shots, but where it really shines is the backend reaction. When the Summit Peak hits the friction, it wants to pick up go, and rolls very heavy through the pins. For me it is good step down from the Attention Star for me, when I am having trouble getting it through the fronts.

Storm Summit Peak Ball Review
Bowler Stats: Speed: 15.5 MPH Rev Rate: 250 RPM Tilt: 6.6 degrees Axis Rotation: 80 degrees PAP: 4 5/8 over 1 5/8 up Layout: 5 X 3 X 21/2 VLS Video Review: https://youtu.be/FVGFjZvRalg I matched up well with the original Summit so when the Summit Peak was released I knew I wanted to see how well this ball would compliment the Summit. The TX-23 pearl cover stock seems slightly weaker than the TX-16 pearl that is featured on the Journey. The A.I. Tech in the core gives me the same mid lane reaction as the Summit but pearl cover adds some length from front to back. The layout featured on this ball gives me the length and quicker motion off the dry that I need on the lower volume house shots in my area. This layout also allows me to stay to the right during the transition of the house shot during league. I can start with the Journey in the track area then when it becomes too early I can change to the Summit Peak and have more length and sharper back end motion off the end of the pattern. I have not changed the surface on this piece at all. I just let the amount of games remove the polish. I have not used this ball on any PBA 50 patterns yet as the 2024 PBA 50 Tour season has just begun. Pete Dohan Storm Bowling Amateur Staff #StormNation

Storm Summit Peak
The new ball in the Storm Master line is the Summit Peak. This is pearl version of the popular Summit. I drilled mine the same as the original 4 1/2 x 4 x 1 3/4 pin up. I was a big fan of the original Summit. But with our league pattern the summit can start to bog down a little late in 2nd game. So perfect time for the summit peak. The Summit peak still has that strong mid lane roll but just a cleaner cover with added length. Personally I think the Peak is a great league ball! I have used the peak with good success on the medium sport patterns. Very versatile ball, as I have drilled several in the shop for all styles. Plus I have noticed with the A.I. Core Technology I seem to carry the light and off hits more. Good looking ball with great shelf appeal. I have the Summit Peak a ball down from the Summit, Phaze II, or the bigger Asymmetricals. Stronger than the IQ's, Hustle lines. Storm Summit Peak
Layout: 55 x 4 5/8 x 30 The Storm Summit Peak combines a flippy coverstock with a quick-revving core, and the end result is a lot of ball motion. Due to it's shiny coverstock prep, it is still best on medium oil lane conditions, but the overall amount of downlane motion is quite impressive. The original Summit is one of my favorite sanded symmetrical balls that Storm has released in quite some time; it can handle a good bit of oil, but is versatile enough to still be quite usable on medium conditions. The Summit Peak takes the reaction of the Summit and moves it 3-4 feet further down then lane, making them a perfect 1-2 punch. With it's out of box surface, the Summit Peak is at home on any medium to medium-dry lane condition.

Summit Peak Review
The new Storm Summit Peak is the latest release in the Summit line. This ball uses the TK-23 Pearl cover an A I Technology. 35x3.5x60 This layout Allows the Summit Peak to shape more in the mid lane and more shape off of the break point. This ball is a great option when you need that big pearl move in and open up your angel.

Summit Peak
Ben Lapointe PAP: 4 7/8 over and 1 1/4 up Layout 5.25 x 4.25 x 3 The Summit Peak from Storm is, in my opinion a much needed addition to the Storm family. With the recent discontinuation of the 900 Global Zen, the Summit Peak fits this gap in the bag very well. For it being a shinier ball, it has excellent mid lane read, paired with a nice strong move off the back end of the pattern. Highly recommended!!

Summit Peak Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
Ball Specs: Storm Summit Peak TX-23™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block: Centripetal™ HD -A.I. (Symmetrical) Color: Goldenrod/Mint/Iridium Review: The pearl version of the summit was the one we were waiting for. We love the tech and cover SPI blended with the original summit bowling ball. For us it was one of the strongest symmetrical bowling balls we have thrown. Before drilling we really expected this ball was going to be very clean and hook a lot off the spot. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). As we expected this ball is very angular. On the fresh this ball is probably too clean for us. If we had to make it work we would probably need to knock the polish off with some surface, probably 2-3k. Because we want this type of shape later in the block we will leave the cover out of box. This ball is a perfect ball down from the original summit, or maybe a solid asymmetrical piece of equipment. We see it blending perfectly in that late game 2 to games 3-4 range. Something in between a first out of bag to say a hustle. Overall we love the look, smell, and logo. This ball has great shelf appeal and if you love to see that clean look down lane with a big snap you will not be disappointed in this piece. Storm Summit Peak review by Chris Pollentier
Storm Summit Peak Coverstock: TX-23 Pearl Reactive Finish: Reacta Gloss Core: Centripetal HD – A.I. RG: 2.46, Diff: 0.056 (15 lb.) VLS Layout: 4-1/2 x 5-3/4 x 2 Dual Angle Layout: 75 x 4-1/2 x 30 PAP: 5 3/16” right x 5/8” up Rev rate: 400 rpm Average speed: 16.5 mph Location: Prairie Lanes, Sun Prairie WI Pattern: Medium volume THS The Summit Peak is Storm’s follow-up in the master line to the original Summit. The new Summit Peak features the same Centripetal HD core paired with the Amplified Inertia (A.I.) outer core. However, the difference between these two balls is in the cover – the Peak features the pearl version of the TX-23 coverstock, which is a modernized variation of the TX-16 cover found on the Phaze II. This new core/cover combo creates a fast-revving ball designed to produce a clean and responsive backend motion compared to the original Summit. I’ve had the Summit Peak in my bag for a couple of months now, and it has become my go-to symmetric pearl when I’m in need of a medium-strong ball that easily clears the front part of the lane but maintains a strong roll with a defined backend reaction. The Peak is much cleaner than the original Summit and would be a great ball to switch to after the lanes start to transition. In some ways, the Summit Peak reminds me of another Storm symmetric pearl ball from yesteryear – the Axiom Pearl. Even though the core and cover of the Peak and Axiom Pearl are very different, the overall reaction shape feels similar to me. On the fresh or starting out the league night, the Summit Peak may be a little too clean and angular to be the first ball out-of-the-bag. However, I think the Peak will shine as a transition ball for most bowlers after a couple games of play from balls like the DNA, Summit and Phaze II. Storm has done it again and released a great follow-up to the original as the Summit Peak is a fantastic compliment to the Summit. Chris Pollentier Storm Products Pro Shop Staff #StormNation
